What are Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks (CSEBs)?
CSEBs are a modern take on ancient building materials. Man has been building with various forms of compressed earth for thousands of years. All around the world, these structures are still standing. By combining modern design with natural and sustainable building elements, CSEBs provide a method of efficient building with durable materials.
How are CSEBs made?
In the simplest form, CSEBs are clay and sand soils mixed with stabilizers that prevent them from degrading in the elements. They are then compressed into a form with mechanical pressure to create a brick that does not have to be burned like traditional bricks and “breathes” in a way that other masonry products are incapable of.
